EDWARD CURTIS:
RE-IMAGINED
a documentary film and photography project
Play Video
This series of photographs depicts present-day Indigenous people in a style that mirrors American photographer Edward S. Curtis’s late-19th and early 20th-century photos of Native American people.
I have reimagined Curtis’s photography by exploring how he may have photographed contemporary Indigenous people if he were still alive.
I produced a series of photographs of contemporary Indigenous people and juxtaposed them with some of Curtis’s most famous photographs.
